EARLY FALL

The fall season in Kachina Basin runs from just after Labor Day through Columbus Day weekend. The great fishing continues, including the best time for big trout on the Rio Grande. Hunting season also begins. Plus, there is still time for great hikes. . .

For the early fall season, the Bavarian returns to its 4-day week, with housekeeping services provided on off-days upon request.

After Columbus Day, the mountain again goes quiet until the opening of the ski season at Thanksgiving. But, this time of year offers its own mountain pleasures for the stout of heart and great day-trips to Taos, Santa Fe and beyond to explore the museums, art galleries, . . . Residents can rely on The Bavarian to arrange housekeeping services during this period upon request.
